- Slirp gives you SLIP/CSLIP/PPP access depending on what YOU want. Unlike
- MLINK which has one part on the UNIX system and the other part on your AMIGA,
- and Emulate a TCP or As-225 connection. SO you just can just run whatever you
- want.
-
- Programs like SLIRP with is FREE, or TIA which is Sharware, I use TIA myself
- are made to be use with ANY computer system with TCP software. You Run
- Slirp/TIA whatever on your ISP's Unix System, It's give you SLIP, CSLIP, or
- PPP acess depending on how you have it setup, but once you have that access
- you STILL need something on your Amiga to deal with that kind of connection,
- with it be AmiTCP or Inet-225, Whatever. It's a lot harder to setup then
- MLINK is! I used MLINK for around a year before I switched over to using
- TIA/AmiTCP connection.
-
- If you havn't figured this all OUT, I suggest you just stick with MLINK for
- now. There's not that many advantages of using SLIRP.
